Fuyao University of Science and Technology (FYUST) is a new non-profit private research university located in Fuzhou, Fujian, established by Mr. Cao Dewang, a renowned entrepreneur and philanthropist. FYUST is building a dynamic, world-class environment for research and education in life and health sciences, engineering, and technology.

The School of Life and Health Sciences is committed to advancing medical innovation in Neuroscience and Brain Health bridging the gap between original discoveries and practical real-world applications. Our goal is to leverage FYUST’s research capabilities to drive progress in health sciences and human health.

We are actively recruiting exceptional scientists to lead robust independent research programs in “X-Brain-Y” Interdisciplinary fields including, but not limited to:

? Regulation of brain development and mechnisms of brain diseases

? Decoding brain function (Intrinsic neural circuits, brain-organ interactions)

? Diagnosis and treatment of brain disorders (Neurodegenerative, neurodevelopmental, and immune and metabolic diseases; AI, and brain-computer interfaces)

? Health big data analytics and advanced intelligent diagnostics/therapeutics

Candidates must hold an M.D., Ph.D., or equivalent degree, with postdoctoral experience and a strong record of research accomplishments in fields such as:

? Neuroscience / brain science

? Developmental biology, genetics, microbiology

? Computational neurobiology

? Interdisciplinary fields including biotechnology and neural engineering

Faculty positions are available at multiple levels: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Full Professor. Each position offers an internationally competitive salary and comprehensive benefits, including generous on-campus housing options. Appointees will receive ample laboratory space, state-of-the-art equipment, and sustained research support that each research program can aim to expand the boundaries of human knowledge. Collaborations with industry are strongly encouraged.
